Cooking Demos

Learn from the pros! Food goes way beyond just eating, we’re on a mission to find the most exciting local Yukon ingredients and demonstrate how anyone can easily cook them at home. Featured chefs include Miche Genest (the Boreal Gourmet), Chris Whittaker and Michael Roszell of Quaaout Lodge, Cat McInroy from Well Bread, Glenys Baltimore of the Chocolate Claim, Eric Pateman of Edible Canada, and more!

Welcome Party

The 2019 edition of the Yukon Culinary Festival is kicking off in style with a new venue and format! Come and join us for an evening of libations from Yukon Brewing, incredible food from iconic Yukoner’s Dona Novecosky of Klondike Rib and Salmon and Katie Thom of Lulu’s Lunch Truck, and live music from Whitehorse’s own Hayley Warden and her band Shaggy Manes. The venue for the evening is the newly renovated MacBride Museum where we will have a photo booth with fun Yukon costumes, along with other fun and games. Tickets are only $40, so grab your friends and come and have a blast and celebrate the best of Yukon food and drink!
Cocktails, Costumes and Canapes

Join us on the riverboat S.S. Klondike, a Parks Canada National Historic Site, for this sell-out event celebrating the history and bounty of the Yukon. Canapes by Chef Carson Shiffkorn of Inn on the Lake will feature local ingredients inspired by the 1950s, when the S.S Klondike was converted from a freight boat to a cruise ship. Cash bar cocktails and beers by Yukon Spirits & Yukon Brewing. Costume rental packages available from Myrna’s Period Costume Rentals! This event is one for the history books.

Feasting and Foraging

Join us for the Yukon Culinary Festival’s signature event! Featuring local Yukon based chefs collaborating with special guest chefs Chris Whittaker and Michael Roszell of Quaaout Lodge. Enjoy light refreshments outside by the fire while you watch the chefs work their magic and cook for you over the fire. Once the chefs are finished, come inside and feast on a HUGE buffet of local farmed, fished and foraged foods. You can expect bison, arctic char, elk, plant based dishes and much more. Music, wild cocktails, beers by Yukon Brewing and many other offerings will round out the evening. Come hungry!

Family Fun Farm Lunch

Join us for a fun day at the ranch! Enjoy a lunch of local meats and produce while learning about how they were raised and grown. Menu selection includes a tasting of Horse Haven Beef (three breeds), side of beef smoked and roasted in hay, fire roasted whole farmed wild-type boar, Icy Waters Arctic char tempura, as well as plant-based dishes. Music, activities for the kids (sack races, tomato sling shot, egg on a spoon race, and more!), farm tours, cash bar, kid-friendly non-alcoholic beverage choices, and much more. Kids 10 and under are FREE!
